Busquets' injury upsets me a lot. But Rakitic did a great job filling in, and Denis Suarez was wonderful with how he linked up with Messi. As usual, Messi played like a dream. At the start, it seemed like Eibar had Barcelona on the ropes, but then Barca found a rhythm and things were ok. There were some calls that went against Eibar (Arda had a handball, but I think the ref ignored it because Arda shouldn't have a yellow at all...I dunno how La Liga refs think, they're all insane). Neymar's form is so good; there were enough tricks and flicks to make a couple highlight videos. Umtiti is back to his best. No complaints about Roberto or Vidal. Also, Ter Stegen decided to be a superhero today. I want that every day from him! MSN all on the score sheet! And now, the Copa!
Messi is heads and shoulders above any player in the world right now, genuinely no one comes close. The man picks up the ball from half line, leading an attack on his own with quick one-twos and creates a 1-on-1 chance from absolutely nothing. Should've had 2 assists in the first half, he's unbelievable when he plays like this.
Giving Barcelona @1.29 odds just shows how Barcelona is soo overated. Coming up against a decent team like Eibar even thought they're more likely to win they will win with 1 goal margin. The kind of things they need help to win. Penalties, free kicks. Barcelona lately hardly scores from open play and thier fans are the most irritating. Expecting Barcelona to win every game and the only thing Barcelona can do is in every 2 games they can only win 1 and throw the rest of the points away. 60% win ratio for Barcelona is above average if not average. Eibar give this piece of dismal drawing team another draw.
@njamimaranga I like the idea that Barca can't score from open play considering how proud Madrid are of Ramos and his offside headers in extra time. Messi and Suarez are joint top scorers in the league. Why not do a google search and see how many of those goals came from open play?
I love this stadium and the atmosphere from the fans. On a nerdy note, one of my favorite Messi passes happened at this stadium. Fingers crossed for more Messi Magic.
