Pogba among star man performers from Saturday's Premier League action
Here we round up the WhoScored man of the match awards from Saturday's Premier League action.
Fulham 0-3 Manchester United - Paul Pogba - 8.77 rating
Paul Pogba helped guide Manchester United into the top four for the first time since the opening weekend of the campaign with two goals in a relatively straightforward afternoon at Craven Cottage. Pogba deceived Fulham goalkeeper Sergio Rico with his first from an incredibly tight angle before converting his seventh penalty of the season in all competitions in the second half. Pogba has now scored 11 league goals this season, which is his best ever return a single campaign. The Frenchman has now been involved in 13 goals in nine league matches under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (eight goals, five assists).
Southampton 1-2 Cardiff - Sol Bamba - 7.88 rating
Sol Bamba helped Cardiff to three huge points in their bid to beat the drop after netting one of the two goals Neil Warnock’s side managed away to relegation rivals Southampton. The 34-year-old, who has now scored three league goals this season, won three aerial duels, made five tackles and interceptions combined and three clearances.
Crystal Palace 1-1 West Ham - Wilfried Zaha - 8.21 rating
Wilfried Zaha reiterated his worth to Crystal Palace by earning the Eagles a point with a second half equaliser against West Ham. The 26-year-old’s availability was in doubt for this match after he was handed an extra-game ban in midweek and Roy Hodgson will be delighted he had the Ivorian to call on here. Zaha hit the target with half of his attempts (3/6), provided three key passes and completed three dribbles. Zaha also won four fouls for Palace, with his goal capping off a fine display.
Huddersfield 1-2 Arsenal - Ainsley Maitland-Niles - 7.96 rating
Arsenal still haven’t kept a clean sheet in an away league match this season and Huddersfield's late consolation goal took some of the gloss off Arsenal's victory. After Stephan Lichtsteiner’s nightmare performance against Manchester City last weekend, Unai Emery will be delighted to have Ainsley Maitland-Niles back from injury. The 21-year-old supplied the assist for what proved Arsenal’s match winner, which was one of three key passes in total. Maitland-Niles also completed four dribbles, while also making six tackles, at least four more than any other team-mate.
Liverpool 3-0 Bournemouth - Mohamed Salah - 8.39 rating
After a testing week, Liverpool romped home to a straightforward victory against Bournemouth to reclaim top spot in the league from City. Mohamed Salah is now one goal shy of 50 in the Premier League for Liverpool after netting once in a 3-0 win over the Cherries. Salah had seven shots in total, three of which hit the target, while also being denied by the woodwork. The 26-year-old supplied three key passes and completed two dribbles.

Watford 1-0 Everton - Michael Keane - 7.65 rating
Marco Silva endured a return to Vicarage Road to forget as his Everton side slipped to yet another defeat, this time at the hands of his former club. Everton centre-back Michael Keane came out with the star man award, though not the result he would have wanted. The 26-year-old won 11 aerial duels and generally managed the threat of Troy Deeney well. The England international also made five tackles and interceptions combined, while even tested Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster with an attempt on goal.
Brighton 1-3 Burnley - Ashley Barnes - 8.71 rating
Burnley scored 21.4% of their away league goals for the campaign in their 3-1 victory at Brighton. Chris Wood netted twice, but Ashley Barnes was the star man for the Clarets after securing all three points with a penalty midway through the second half. The 29-year-old was also denied by the woodwork and supplied the assist for Wood's first of the game. Barnes has now played a direct hand in seven goals in his last nine appearances for Sean Dyche's side.
