Kicking off the August Team of the Month is Arsenal shotstopper David Raya, who returned a WhoScored rating of 7.61. The Spaniard kept a clean sheet in two of three matches and made the fifth most saves (9) to secure his spot.
Pedro Porro (Tottenham) - 7.61
The first of three Tottenham players, Pedro Porro scored his side's first league goal of the season, netting in the 1-1 draw at Leicester. The 24-year-old was unfortunate not to end August with an assist having made five key passes, while additional returns of three tackles and two interceptions saw Porro land a WhoScored rating of 7.61.
Cristian Romero (Tottenham) - 7.84
The second Spurs player to make the cut, Cristian Romero scored his first goal of the season in August, that coming in their 4-0 win over Everton last week, and made seven tackles and six clearances in two solid outings for Ange Postecoglou's side.
William Saliba (Arsenal) - 7.31
The second of three Arsenal players to feature joins Romero in the middle of the park. William Saliba has been solid in a Gunners backline that has shipped just one goal so far. Only one player made more tackles than the Frenchman (14) in August, with Saliba good value for his inclusion with a WhoScored rating of 7.31.
Antonee Robinson (Fulham) - 7.54
Like Saliba, Antonee Robinson also made 14 tackles last month as the left-back excelled for Fulham. The Whites full-back got forward well, too, having registered two assists; only two players made more in August.
One of those to have made more assists than Robinson is Arsenal's Bukayo Saka, who provided three assists in August. In addition, Saka netted once to round off the Arsenal contingent with a WhoScored rating of 8.02.
Like compatriot Saka, Cole Palmer also registered three assists in August, all of which came in Chelsea's 6-2 win at Wolves last weekend. The Blues star also hit the back of the net last month as Palmer landed a WhoScored rating of 8.01.

Luis Diaz has made a flying start to the season having earned a WhoScored rating of 8.31 in August. The Colombian's standout performance came in the 2-0 win over Brentford last weekend, where he scored one and assisted another for Arne Slot's side.
Erling Haaland (Manchester City) - 8.84
With a WhoScored rating of 8.84, Erling Haaland is the Premier League Player of the Month. Haaland scored more goals (7) than any other team, excluding Manchester City, let alone player in England's top tier last month, and back-to-back hat-tricks against Ipswich and West Ham capped off a fine August for the City star.
Son Heung-Min (Tottenham) - 8.11
Rounding off the XI is Son Heung-Min, who partners Haaland on the frontline. Son scored twice in August, both of which came in a player of the match performance against Everton last weekend, while five dribbles and two key passes helped the Tottenham skipper to a WhoScored rating of 8.11.
