Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) - 8.09

Ibrahima Konate (Liverpool) - 8.00
Joining Alexander-Arnold in our back four is Liverpool team-mate Ibrahima Konate, who turned in yet another fine display, following his goalscoring exploits in the Champions League only a few days before. Konate provided the assist for Luis Diaz’s opener after 26 minutes, while he also made two blocks, six clearances and won five of the seven duels he contested.
Gabriel Magalhaes (Arsenal) - 7.53
Partnering Konate at the back is Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes, who scored in successive Premier League matches when he powered home a header against Manchester City on Sunday. In eerily similar fashion to his goal against rivals Tottenham seven days before, the Brazilian lost marker Kyle Walker, before rising highest to head home a Bukayo Saka corner on the stroke of half-time. The 26-year-old also contributed with two tackles, three blocks and five clearances, in yet another impressive defensive display.
Destiny Udogie (Tottenham) - 7.78
Completing our back four is Tottenham left-back Destiny Udogie, who produced a strong performance in Spurs’ 3-1 home victory over Brentford on Saturday. The Italy international managed six tackles, three clearances, four interceptions and one successful dribble, to return a WhoScored rating of 7.78.
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) - 8.87
Though he may not have got on the scoresheet, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah earns a place in our Team of the Week, having provided one assist from a total of six key passes against Bournemouth on Saturday. The 32-year-old also managed five successful dribbles and four shots on target, contributing to a WhoScored rating of 8.87.
James Maddison (Tottenham) - 9.42
With a WhoScored rating of 9.42, Tottenham midfielder James Maddison is our Premier League Player of the Week, following a fine performance in the win over Brentford on Saturday. The England international scored his first league goal of the season in the victory, while he also made three key passes, three tackles and a whopping seven successful dribbles - no player has completed more in a Premier League match this season.
Moises Caicedo (Chelsea) - 8.80
Chelsea made it back-to-back league victories with a comfortable 3-0 win at West Ham on Saturday afternoon, and crucial for the Blues was a hugely impressive performance by Moises Caicedo. The Ecuador international was everywhere, making eight tackles, two blocks, two clearances and winning a huge 13 duels. Caicedo also provided the assist for Nicolas Jackson’s second goal, in what was an exceptional performance all round.
The Player of the Match at Anfield on Saturday afternoon was Liverpool winger Luis Diaz, who brought his tally of his goals for the season to five with a quickfire brace against Bournemouth. Diaz found the net with two of his four shots on goal, while he made one key pass, three successful dribbles and four ball recoveries, to land a WhoScored rating of 8.93.
Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea) - 9.08
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson made it four goals in five league games this season with a well-taken brace against West Ham in Saturday’s early kick-off. The 23-year-old found the net with both of his shots on target against the Hammers, while he also made two key passes - one of which assisted Cole Palmer for the Blues’ third goal of the afternoon, all but sealing the victory two minutes into the second half.
Darwin Nunez (Liverpool) - 8.10
Rounding off our Team of the Week for gameweek five is Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez, who came in for his first league start of the season against Bournemouth on Saturday.
