Mitoma pipped to top spot in Premier League form standings

North London pair Arsenal and Tottenham are both represented in the WhoScored form standings, while there is room for a Manchester United star back to his best. However, it's Brentford and Brighton that dominate the top 10 as they have three and two players, respectively, make the standings. 

10. Ethan Pinnock (Brentford) - 7.40 

Playing a key role in Brentford's fine form has been centre-back Ethan Pinnock. The Bees are now just one point off the top six, with Pinnock central to their rise into European contention. Indeed, Brentford have conceded just three goals in his last six outings, keeping four clean sheets in that run, with the 29-year-old the first of three Bees stars to make the WhoScored form rankings. 

9. Ivan Toney (Brentford) - 7.40 

With Pinnock vital at one end of the pitch, Ivan Toney has been crucial at the other. The Brentford hitman has scored five and assisted one in his last six outings with the Bees picking up key results against Manchester City, Tottenham and West Ham in that run. With that, Toney has earned a WhoScored form rating of 7.40 across his last six outings. 

8. Brennan Johnson (Nottingham Forest) - 7.42 

Brennan Johnson has earned a WhoScored rating of just 6.52 this season, but he has certainly picked up his form in recent outings. The Welshman has been directly involved in five goals in his last six appearances, which has won Nottingham Forest an additional seven points. As such, Johnson has risen up the form leaderboard with a rating of 7.42. 

7. Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) - 7.42 

Whereas Martin Odegaard has dropped out of the top 10 form standings, he has been replaced by another Arsenal star. Bukayo Saka's recent showings have seen him rise to seventh on the leaderboard, with the winger scoring three times and providing one assist across his last six outings. 

6. Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) - 7.45 

A regular feature in the top 10 of late, it's for good reason too with Bruno Fernandes directly involved in a goal in five of his last six league appearances, scoring three times, helping Manchester United to an additional five points in the process. The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo has certainly aided Fernandes, who has been excellent since the World Cup. 

5. Harry Kane (Tottenham) - 7.48 

Harry Kane netted his 267th Tottenham goal last weekend as Spurs beat Manchester City 1-0, becoming the club's all-time record goalscorer in the process. Kane has now scored four goals in his last six league outings, and remains Erling Haaland's closest competitor for the Golden Boot having struck 17 times in the league this season. 

4. David Raya (Brentford) - 7.50 

The third and final Brentford representative in the form standings is shotstopper David Raya. The Spaniard has only conceded three league goals since the World Cup, while three of his best rated Premier League performances in 2022/23 have come in his last six outings, with Raya featuring in fourth in the WhoScored form standings with a rating of 7.50. 

3. Solly March (Brighton) - 7.50 

Dropping down into third is Brighton winger Solly March, who has earned a WhoScored form rating of 7.50 across his last six Premier League showings. Recent sub-par showings against Leicester and Bournemouth have impacted March's score, but with his three best rated performances coming since the return of domestic action, he keeps his place in the top three. 

2. Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton) - 7.53 

One of those to capitalise on March's dip in form rating has been teammate Kaoru Mitoma. The Japan international has been a revelation since breaking into the Brighton starting XI having scored four goals in his last six appearances, which includes key strikes against Leicester and Bournemouth, to help rise to second in the form standings. 

1. Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) - 7.75 

Retaining top spot is Newcastle right-back Kieran Trippier. While the Magpies have struggled in front of goal of late, firing blanks in three of their last six matches, Trippier has been incredibly consistent for Eddie Howe's side, doing all he can to help Newcastle. Indeed, the 32-year-old has created 28 goalscoring chances in his last six outings to remain top of the form standings.
