Indeed, Joan Jordan earned a WhoScored rating of 7.82 in LaLiga last month, that better than any other player in Spain’s top tier of those to make at least three appearances. Sevilla are one of six sides yet to lose to LaLiga match this term, with Jordan vital in the middle of the park.

The former Eibar man bagged his first Sevilla goal in their narrow 1-0 win at Granada as he secured the WhoScored man of the match award in the victory. Seven key passes was the second best in the league in August, while six successful dribbles ranked among the top five players, with Jordan taking to his new surroundings like a duck to water.

It’s an all French front pair in the form of Antoine Griezmann (7.68) and Nabil Fekir (7.67) with the duo impressing for Barcelona and Real Betis, respectively. The defending champions may have made a stuttering start to their title defence, but at least put on a show for their fans on home turf as they trounced Real Betis 5-2, a match in which Griezmann was the star man as he earned the man of the match award with a 9.88 rating.

Fekir, meanwhile, has scored twice in three league outings for his new side, winning the WhoScored man of the match award in Real Betis’ 2-1 win over Leganes as they put their first three points on the board ahead of the international break.

Arsenal fans will be familiar with the fourth and final new face in this list as Suarez shone in August, returning a WhoScored rating of 7.61 for Celta Vigo. The 25-year-old has made a fine impact for his new side having scored one and assisted another in positive results against Sevilla and Valencia, respectively.

Suarez secured the WhoScored man of the match award in the 1-1 draw with Sevilla prior to the international break as he rapidly moved on from his disappointing, injury hit loan stint with Arsenal.
