Super Salah knocks Man Utd star off Premier League form rankings perch

A Liverpool star tops the WhoScored form standings, knocking a Manchester United midfielder off their perch. Arsenal, Brighton, Brentford and Manchester City are also represented on the rankings table as we take a look at the Premier League's 10 in-form performers.

10. Cody Gakpo (Liverpool) - 7.38

It took a short while for Cody Gakpo to get up to speed with the Premier League, but a brace in Liverpool's resounding 7-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday means he has now scored more goals (4) than the likes of Antony (3) and Richarlison (0). Gakpo returned a WhoScored rating of 9.12 at the weekend and it means an average form rating of 7.38 is the 10th best in the Premier League.

9. Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) - 7.42

Marcus Rashford failed to score for the first time in six games as Manchester United fell to a shock 7-0 loss at Liverpool at the weekend, just a week after a 2-0 Carabao Cup final win over Newcastle. The performance was among Rashford's worst in a Premier League match this season, and the disappointing display saw the United forward drop from third to ninth in the WhoScored form rankings.

8. Oleksandr Zinchenko (Arsenal) - 7.43

Rising into eighth in the form guide is the first of two Arsenal players in the top 10. Oleksandr Zinchenko has been excellent for the Gunners this season, and of late; he has been vital as the north London side chase Premier League glory. Four of Zinchenko's five best rated performances this season have come in his last six outings, and that has contributed to form rating of 7.43.

7. Ethan Pinnock (Brentford) - 7.43

As one Brentford player drops out of the top 10, another takes his place as Ethan Pinnock rises up to seventh in the WhoScored from standings. Pinnock bagged his first league goal of the season last time out as the Bees earned west London bragging rights at the expense of rivals Fulham. That showing was the centre-back's best rated of the season to contribute towards his place on the form leaderboard.

6. Jack Grealish (Manchester City) - 7.49

Moving up one place to sixth is Manchester City's Jack Grealish. He may have failed to have a direct hand in City's 2-0 win over Newcastle, but Grealish put in another impressive showing for the title contenders with a form rating of 7.49 a solid return for Pep Guardiola's side.

5. Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) - 7.50

There is no denying that Bruno Fernandes has been in superb form for Manchester United following the World Cup, but his performance against Liverpool was dire to say the least. Indeed, Fernandes earned a WhoScored rating of just 5.82, marking his third worst rated Premier League start of his career, and that cost the Portuguese midfielder top spot on the form standings.

4. Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton) - 7.53

Rising back into the top 10, Kaoru Mitoma was back among the goals at the weekend as Brighton secured a 4-0 win over relegation-threatend West Ham. A WhoScored rating of 8.52 was Mitoma's best in a Premier League match this season, and it's contributed towards his average form rating of 7.53.

3. Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) - 7.57

Reiss Nelson was Arsenal's hero in their dramatic 3-2 win over Bournemouth at the weekend, but the victory was enough for Bukayo Saka to come into weekend's action in third spot on the form leaderboard. While Saka's form rating dropped from 7.60 to 7.57, a dip in performances from those in the rankings saw the Gunners star rise into a podium spot.

2. Solly March (Brighton) - 7.71

Another whose form rating has dropped, Solly March's impressive showings in a Brighton shirt of late means he keeps his place in second in the standings. The 28-year-old couldn't contribute to a goal against West Ham, but even without a goal or assist, March put in a fine showing against the Hammers to return a form rating of 7.71.

1. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) - 7.94

Mohamed Salah was superb in Liverpool's 7-0 win over Manchester United at the weekend and that has seen the Egyptian surge into top spot on the WhoScored form standings. Salah has been directly involved in seven goals in his last six league appearances, including a pair of goals and assists against United, to top the leaderboard with a form rating of 7.94.
