Former Manchester City goalkeeper denies PSG clean sweep
Geronimo Rulli made four league appearances for Montpellier in February and featured in the Ligue 1 team of the week after all four outings. 3. Angel Di Maria (PSG) - 7.95 rating
Angel Di Maria has been exceptional for PSG this season and he carried his excellent performances into February as he registered more assists (6) than any other player in France's top tier last month. An additional two goals capped a stunning month for Di Maria, who was good value for his WhoScored rating of 7.95. Those six assists came from a solid return of 21 key passes, that the joint-best return in France's top tier in February, with Di Maria more than justifying his inclusion in the Ligue 1 team of the month.
2. Geronimo Rulli (Montpellier) - 8.12 rating
Saving his best performance for last to see out the month, Geronimo Rulli put in a solid shift between the sticks in Montpellier's 3-0 win over Strasbourg, a match in which he landed a WhoScored rating of 8.90, that his best of the season. The 27-year-old was kept busy by opposition attackers as he made the second most saves (26) in Ligue 1 last month and kept two clean sheets from his four outings. All in all, Rulli more than deserved his spot as one of the top performing players in Ligue 1 last month as he emerged from February with an average rating of 8.12.
1. Kylian Mbappe (PSG) - 8.58 rating
Like Rulli, Kylian Mbappe enjoyed his best-rated performance of the season in his final league appearance in February. A 4-0 win over Dijon marked the Frenchman's first perfect 10 showing of the campaign as Mbappe scored a brace in the victory to ensure he ended the month as the league's top scorer with five goals to his name. Mbappe had a direct hand in a goal in all but one of his five league outings, totalling five goals and one assist, with those come from respective returns of 24 shots (1st) and 15 key passes (3rd). The youngster's 17 successful dribbles was the fourth best return in Ligue 1 last month and it helped Mbappe to an impressive WhoScored rating of 8.58 in February.
