Youth Watch: Juventus loanee Huijsen continues to impress for Roma

In Youth Watch this week, there's room in the top 10 leaderboard for Newcastle teen Lewis Miley, Bayern superb-sub Mathys Tel and Lille's in-demand centre-back Leny Yoro. It's a Toulouse youngster that claims top spot, however, as we take a look at the 10 best performing teenagers across Europe this past weekend. 

10. Leny Yoro (Lille) - 7.45 vs Le Havre 

Leny Yoro is widely considered to be one of the best young centre-back prospects in Europe and he again showed why in Lille's 3-0 win over Le Havre. It was the 18-year-old's distribution that caught the eye as Yoro found a teammate with 96.3% of his 80 attempted passes that helped return a WhoScored rating of 7.45. 

9. Lewis Miley (Newcastle) - 7.46 vs Bournemouth 

Newcastle look to have turned a corner following a disastrous spell and extended their unbeaten run to four matches in their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth. Lewis Miley again put in a display that belied his tender years as he earned a WhoScored rating of 7.46 in the stalemate with the Cherries. Miley made six tackles and two interceptions in Saturday's home draw to mark another solid showing. 

8. Dean Huijsen (Roma) - 7.51 vs Frosinone 

Dean Huijsen joined Roma from Juventus for the rest of the season last month and scored his second goal for Daniele De Rossi's side in Sunday's 3-0 win at Frosinone. The centre-back was withdrawn at the break having been booked in the victory but struck with his only effort on goal and made three clearances during his time on the pitch. 

7. Facundo Buonanotte (Brighton) - 7.53 vs Sheffield United 

Having netted at Bramall Lane last month, Facundo Buonanotte repeated the feat with another strike at the weekend as Brighton smashed Sheffield United 5-0 in Yorkshire. The Argentine scored with his only effort on goal and worked hard out of possession as he made four tackles in the resounding victory. 

6. Hamza Gureler (Istanbul Basaksehir) - 7.60 vs Kayserispor 

While Hamza Gureler was unable to prevent Istanbul Basaksehir from falling to a 3-2 home defeat to Kayserispor, the teenage defender marked his second ever league appearance with a goal off the bench in the loss. The 17-year-old netted with his only effort, and made two tackles, two interceptions and one clearance to help return a WhoScored rating of 7.60. 

5. Max Finkgrafe (FC Koeln) - 7.60 vs Werder Bremen 

Featuring for the fourth week running, Max Finkgrafe was unable to prevent FC Koeln from falling to a home loss to Werder Bremen but he again put in another solid showing at left-back. Indeed, the 19-year-old made five tackles in the defeat and got forward well as he completed seven dribbles. 

4. Mathys Tel (Bayern Munich) - 7.89 vs Bochum 

Mathys Tel is yet to start a Bundesliga match this season and yet despite registering just 373 minutes of gametime, the French teenager has now been directly involved in six league goals this term. Tel provided the assist for Harry Kane's consolation strike at Bochum on Sunday, that coming from one of three key passes, and despite his limited time on the pitch; completed four dribbles to earn a WhoScored rating of 7.89. 

3. Mio Backhaus (FC Volendam) - 7.94 vs Vitesse 

Having shipped five against PSV last week, Mio Backhaus conceded just the once this time around in FC Volendam's 1-1 draw at Vitesse. The 19-year-old did all he could to help his side to a result as he made seven saves and two high ball claims in the stalemate at the GelreDome. 

2. Semih Kilicsoy (Besiktas) - 7.97 vs Konyaspor 

Semih Kilicsoy netted his eighth league goal of the campaign as a sub-par Besiktas side beat Konyaspor 2-0 on home turf. The teenage forward netted with one of four shots, provided four key passes and completed three dribbles on his way to a WhoScored rating of 7.97. 

1. Christian Mawissa (Toulouse) - 7.99 vs Monaco 

Toulouse claimed the result of the weekend in Ligue 1 as they beat top-four chasing Monaco at the Stade Louis-II. Christian Mawissa put in another assured display in the 2-1 victory as the teenager made five interceptions, four clearances and two tackles in the south of France. Mawissa also got forward well as he completed four dribbles to help return a WhoScored rating of 7.99.
