Form Guide
Brighton haven't been in great form of late, winning just one of their last five league outings, that a narrow 1-0 home victory over relegation threatened Nottingham Forest. That said, the Seagulls have been tough to beat at the AMEX. They haven't lost in 12 on the south coast, with their sole home league defeat this season coming in a surprise 3-1 defeat to West Ham back in August.
That record, though, will be put to the test when they welcome a rampant Arsenal side to the south coast on Saturday. The Gunners are unbeaten in 10, winning nine times in that run, with the only blip on the record a 0-0 draw at Manchester City last weekend. Mikel Arteta's side are unbeaten in five on the road, and have kept four successive clean sheets on their travels.
Team News
Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has five confirmed absentees for the welcome of Arsenal, with Kaoru Mitoma, Solly March, Jack Hinshelwood, James Milner and Billy Gilmour all sidelined. Evan Ferguson is a doubt having sustained a knock recently.
Mikel Arteta has recovered the vast majority of his injured star players, with Jurrien Timber the only confirmed absentee for Saturday's game at Brighton. Bukayo Saka is a doubt having missed out in midweek but should recover in time to feature. Arteta named a rotated XI for the midweek win over Luton, with the likes of Saka, Declan Rice, Gabriel Martinelli and Jorginho among those expected to return.
Probable XIs
Brighton (4231) - Verbruggen; Veltman, Van Hecke, Dunk, Estupinan; Gross, Baleba; Enciso, Pedro, Adingra; Welbeck
Arsenal (433) - Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior; Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Martinelli
Arsenal have conceded fewer goals (24) than any other team in the Premier League this season and key to their defensive resolve has been the performances of centre-back pairing William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães. However, the latter has been crucial at the other end of the pitch, too.
The 26-year-old has scored four league goals this season, all of which have been headers; only Chris Wood (5) has scored more headed goals in England's top tier this term. Given Arsenal's quality from set-pieces, Gabriel will fancy his chances of adding to his goal haul at Brighton on Saturday and SkyBet have boosted the price of the centre-back scoring a header from 15/2 to 10/1.
