Brighton star pips Arsenal captain Ødegaard to first on form leaderboard

Brighton continue to shine under Roberto De Zerbi, and after their resounding win over Liverpool last weekend, it's no surprise to see a Seagulls star top the form leaderboard. Players from Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle also feature in the top 10. 

10. Ethan Pinnock (Brentford) - 7.38 

A key reason behind Brentford's rise up the table has been the solid form of Ethan Pinnock at the heart of the Bees backline. Across Pinnock's last six appearances, Brentford have conceded just six league goals, and have secured impressive wins over Manchester City and Liverpool in that run. Three of the centre-back's best rated performances of the season have come in that six-game run, so it's no surprise to see the 29-year-old feature here.

9. Joelinton (Newcastle) - 7.45 

Having started the season in midfield, Eddie Howe has been using Joelinton on the left flank in recent weeks, and the decision is clearly having the desired effect. The Brazilian ranks ninth in the form guide with a rating of 7.45, with the two goals he has scored this season coming when he has started in this role. The performance levels may have dipped a tad, but Joelinton is a worthy inclusion on this leaderboard. 

8. Ivan Toney (Brentford) - 7.52 

Across his last six league outings, Ivan Toney has been directly involved in six league goals, scoring five times, with the striker key to the Bees' rise up the table. Two of those five goals were scored against Manchester City, while two of his three best rated performances of the season have come in his recent six-game spell as he makes the top 10. 

7. Harry Kane (Tottenham) - 7.54 

Dropping down the form standings is Tottenham striker Harry Kane. The reason being is that Kane was poor against Manchester City on Thursday night as Spurs threw away a two-goal lead to lose 4-2 at the Etihad Stadium. Spurs need Kane fit and firing at Fulham on Monday night now, or else he might drop off the leaderboard altogether. 

6. James Ward-Prowse (Southampton) - 7.57 

Southampton may be rooted to the foot of the Premier League table, but their captain is leading by example. James Ward-Prowse features in sixth spot on the form rankings with a 7.57 rating of late. Of the five league goals Ward-Prowse has scored this season, four have come in his last four outings, including a vital brace at relegation rivals Everton last week. 

5. Casemiro (Manchester United) - 7.61 

In what is a blow for Manchester United, they'll be without midfield lynchpin Casemiro for their trip to Arsenal on Sunday afternoon following his booking against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night. The Brazilian has been imperious in the United midfield of late, so his absence at the Emirates this weekend is a huge blow. 

4. Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) - 7.68 

While one key United man misses out on Sunday, another comes into the meeting with Arsenal on the back of his second best rated display of the Premier League season. Bruno Fernandes netted just his fourth league goal of the campaign at Crystal Palace in midweek, but has now scored in back-to-back league matches having struck in the Manchester Derby win last weekend. 

3. Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) - 7.77 

Having recently been knocked off top spot, Harry Kane's sub-par outing against Manchester City saw Kieran Trippier rise back into the top three in the form standings. Trippier did earn a WhoScored rating of 6.91 in Newcastle's recent win over Fulham, his third lowest in a Premier League match this season, which did his form rating no favours. That said, a rating of 7.77 is not to be scoffed at. 

2. Martin Ødegaard (Arsenal) - 7.87 

No matter how hard he tries, Martin Ødegaard just cannot crack top spot of the form rankings. The Arsenal skipper remains second on the leaderboard following another standout display, this time in the North London Derby, where the Norwegian midfielder scored Arsenal's second. Ødegaard has now been directly involved in seven goals in his last six league outings to yield a WhoScored form rating of 7.87. 

1. Solly March (Brighton) - 8.00 

Prior to the World Cup, Solly March couldn't hit the back of the net for love nor money. Following the restart, though, the Brighton star has been in unstoppable form. March has now scored four goals across his last four league outings, providing two assists in the process, while his three top rated performances of the campaign have come in that four-game spell. As such, the 28-year-old tops the WhoScored form standings with a rating of 8.00.
