GOALKEEPERS
Heurelho Gomes – Points Earned 17.50
Watford’s three-game losing streak came to an end at the expense of David Moyes’ West Ham on Sunday and Heurelho Gomes played an integral part in their triumph. The 36-year-old made five saves and won one aerial duel on his way to 17.5 points on Yahoo! Fantasy Football.
Petr Cech – Points Earned 16.00
Arsenal won the bragging rights in Saturday’s North London Derby against Tottenham after securing a 2-0 win over their fiercest rivals. Petr Cech kept his fifth clean sheet of the season en route to scoring 16.00 points on Yahoo! Fantasy Football.
Asmir Begovic – Points Earned 14.50
Despite playing with 10 men for the entire second half, Bournemouth ran out 4-0 winners over Huddersfield on Saturday – their biggest Premier League win since April. With a trip to league strugglers Swansea next up for the Cherries, Asmir Begovic could be a wise investment for gameweek 13.
DEFENDERS
Marcos Alonso – Points Earned 19.60
Marcos Alonso should always come into consideration when picking your defence given how prolific he has been since returning to the Premier League over 12 months ago. The Spaniard scored his ninth league goal for Chelsea over the weekend – more than any other defender since the start of last season.
Shkodran Mustafi – Points Earned 15.20
Like Cech, Shkodran Mustafi also played a huge part in Arsenal’s win over Tottenham. The Germany international opened the scoring for the Gunners with a sublime header, finishing in WhoScored.com’s Premier League Team of the Week in the process.
Kurt Zouma – Points Earned 14.65
Kurt Zouma netted his first Premier League goal since September 2015 in Stoke’s 2-2 draw with Brighton on Monday night to finish GW12 as the third highest point-scoring defender. With a trip to bottom side Crystal Palace up next for Stoke, Zouma is a good option to consider for gameweek 13.
MIDFIELDERS
Eden Hazard – Points Earned 26.15
West Brom will reflect on their 4-0 defeat to Chelsea at the weekend and realise their attempts to kick Eden Hazard off the park did them no favours. A fired up Chelsea star ran riot on Saturday, scoring twice and completing more dribbles (7) than any other player in GW12.
Will Hughes – Points Earned 22.90
Making just his second Premier League start of the season, Will Hughes played a star role in Watford’s 2-0 win over West Ham on Sunday. The 22-year-old played a direct hand in both goals against the Hammers to finish with 22.90 points on Yahoo! Fantasy Football.
Philippe Coutinho – Points Earned 22.35
The Brazil international has now earned the WhoScored Man of the Match in four of his last seven outings for Liverpool after playing a direct hand in two of the three goals they scored against Southampton on Saturday. Next up for Liverpool is a home match against Chelsea, whom Coutinho has never scored against at Anfield.
FORWARDS
Callum Wilson – Points Earned 33.80
The Bournemouth striker finished GW12 as the highest scorer on Yahoo! Fantasy Football after scoring a hat-trick against Huddersfield on Saturday. Callum Wilson has now scored two of the three trebles scored by Bournemouth players in their Premier League history and he should come into contention against next weekend when they face a poor Swansea side.
Mohamed Salah – Points Earned 23.40
The Liverpool summer signing is now the Premier League’s new top scorer (9) after netting a brace against Southampton on Saturday. Given how many goal scoring chances Liverpool create under Jurgen Klopp, Salah should always come into the reckoning for your teams and he will have something extra to prove when he faces off against former side Chelsea this weekend.
Alexis Sanchez - Points Earned 20.25
Rounding off the best performing players from gameweek 12 in the Premier League is Alexis Sanchez. The Arsenal star netted in Saturday’s North London Derby with one of six shots on goal, while he also completed five dribbles, was fouled six times and created three chances of other teammates.
