Top transfer round-up – January 11th: Monaco to make double Chelsea swoop, while Juventus chase Isco

Here we run through the latest rumours and round-up the possible movers dominating today’s gossip columns, with additional information about Football INDEX share prices.

Henry wants Batshuayi reunion at Monaco

Monaco manager Thierry Henry wants to bolster his offensive options this month by signing Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.

Henry worked with Batshuayi for two years as part of his role as Roberto Martinez’s assistant manager with the Belgium national team.

Batshuayi is on the verge of returning to Chelsea from his failed loan stint with Valencia and the Blues intend to farm him off for the second half of the season.

A move to Monaco would pave the way for Batshuayi to return to France where he made a name for himself with Marseille.

The 25-year-old earned a move to Chelsea in the summer of 2016 after scoring 17 league goals for Marseille during the 2015/16 campaign.

His Football INDEX share price has rocketed 13.96% in the last seven days of trading as traders speculate about his future.

While a return to France may suit the striker, Monaco’s season has been disastrous and Batshuayi may be one to avoid on Football INDEX.

Chelsea defender Luiz wants Benfica return

David Luiz has entered the final six months of his current Chelsea deal and is unlikely to sign an extension with the Blues.

Chelsea generally don’t hand long deals to players the wrong side of 30 and instead opt for rolling one-year contracts.

Unless there are any surprising breakthroughs in negotiations, Luiz will more than likely leave Chelsea in the summer for the second time in his career.

Luiz will not be short of offers but his preference is to return to Benfica, who were his first European club more than a decade ago.

Since returning to Chelsea in the summer of 2016, the west London outfit have a far superior win ratio in the Premier League (71%) compared to when he has not featured from the off (57.1%).

The 31-year-old’s Football INDEX share price has dropped 4.37% in the last seven days and is unlikely to hit its recent peak of £1.78 again.

Juventus keen on Real Madrid creator Isco

Juventus are monitoring Isco’s future at Real Madrid and are keen to make a move at the end of the season.

Isco has not started a league match under Santiago Solari and is now being heavily linked with a move away from Madrid.

Juventus are long-standing admirers of Isco and even Aaron Ramsey’s potential arrival would not deter them from pursuing the Spaniard.

Isco’s future at Madrid hinges on whether Solari remains at the club beyond the end of the season, though that seems unlikely.

With Jose Mourinho available, it would be surprising if Solari made it to the summer.

Isco’s Football INDEX share price is certainly worth monitoring and should be jumped on in the eventuality Solari is sacked.

Napoli’s valuation of Allan is twice what PSG are willing to pay

Paris Saint-Germain are unlikely to sign Allan this month as Napoli’s valuation is nearly double what they are willing to pay.

Thomas Tuchel is desperate to bolster PSG’s midfield options for the remainder of the season and had earmarked Allan as a transfer target.

The Ligue 1 champions are willing to pay in excess of €40m to sign the Brazilian midfielder but Napoli are demanding twice that fee.

Since the start of last season, Allan has won possession in the middle third more times than any other player in Serie A (235).

Chelsea reject Barcelona’s renewed interest in Willian

Barcelona have failed with a cash-plus-player offer to prise Willian away from Chelsea.

The Spanish giants have desperately pursued Willian over the last 12 months and failed with numerous bids last summer.

Barcelona eventually turned to 21-year-old Brazilian starlet Malcom but the former Bordeaux sensation has failed to make any impression at the club.

Malcom’s stock has diminished so much at the club that they are even willing to use the youngster as bait to get a deal for Willian over the line.

Barcelona’s offer to Chelsea, with Malcom included, was worth in the region of £50m but Maurizio Sarri’s side have turned it down.

Willian’s Football INDEX share price has increased 31.98% in the last 24 hours alone but that initial buzz is expected to subside. It’s unlikely he will leave Chelsea this month and traders should therefore consider other options on the market.
