Form Guide
Liverpool bounced back from their 3-1 loss to title rivals Arsenal last month with a four-game winning streak to keep their quadruple hopes alive. In all competitions, the Reds have won seven on the bounce, which includes a 1-0 Carabao Cup final win over Chelsea at the end of February.
Manchester City extended their unbeaten run to 20 matches when they beat Copenhagen in midweek, and they have won 18 times in that run. In addition, City have won their last 10 away from the Etihad Stadium, a run that stretches back to early December as they look to claim a huge three points.
Team News
Liverpool are boosted by the return of Mohamed Salah, with the Egypt forward featuring off the bench in midweek. Salah is in line to make just his second start for the Reds in 2024. Dominik Szoboszlai is also expected to return to the starting XI, with the midfielder's return a huge boost.
However, Liverpool still have a lengthy injury list to contend with. Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones are among those sidelined, while Ibrahima Konate will be assessed after he was forced off against Sparta Prague on Thursday night.
Manchester City have a far easier absentee list to contend with. Jeremy Doku and Matheus Nunes are doubts, the latter having sustained a dislocated finger against Copenhagen on Wednesday night. Jack Grealish remains City's only confirmed absentee.
Probable XIs
Liverpool (433) - Kelleher; Gomez, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Szoboszlai, Endo, Mac Allister; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
Man City (4141) - Ederson; Walker, Stones, Dias, Ake; Rodri; Silva, Alvarez, De Bruyne, Foden; Haaland
SkyBet Price Boost
Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland both arrived in the same summer and while the latter immediately thrived; the former struggled. However, Nunez is really starting to find his rhythm in England. The Uruguayan has been in excellent form of late having scored five goals in his last four outings, while Haaland is, well, Haaland. The City hitman has netted seven in his last three and has scored more goals (18) than any other player in the Premier League this season.
Liverpool and City will look to their frontmen to fire their respective sides to victory at Anfield on Sunday, and SkyBet have boosted their offer of both Nunez and Haaland to score from 5/1 to 6/1.
