Tottenham Injury News: Richarlison out, Bissouma concern, Van de Ven and Solanke to start?

Tottenham will hope to bounce back from their disappointing 2-1 loss to Newcastle prior to the international break when they welcome Arsenal to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

Despite dominating meetings with Leicester, Everton and the Magpies, Spurs have just four points to their name to show for their efforts, and they'll look to make it two wins from their opening four matches in this weekend's North London Derby.

Ahead of the meeting with Arsenal, we run through the latest Tottenham team news...

Micky van de Ven

Micky van de Ven played the opening matches of the season as Tottenham picked up four points from their first two games, but he sustained a knee injury in the 4-0 win over Everton. The Dutchman played the full 90 in that victory only to miss the 2-1 loss at Newcastle and was forced to withdraw from the Netherlands for the international break.

However, Ange Postecoglou revealed that Van de Ven came close to making the squad against Newcastle, stating: "Micky was close, he trained this week, but he's not quite 100%. Part of me was keen to give Radu a run as well, especially at this venue, so we've gone with Radu."

"It's nothing serious, we've a heavy programme after the international break. We're going to need all our back four, so getting Radu a game is positive for us." Based on Postecoglou's comments before the international break, Van de Ven should return for Sunday's welcome of Arsenal.

Dominic Solanke

Having played the full 90 in the 1-1 draw with Leicester, Dominic Solanke missed meetings with Everton and Newcastle due to an ankle issue. "Dom is close but we're going to be a bit cautious with him, we've got a big programme post the international break, so he'll miss out on Sunday," Postecoglou said ahead of the Newcastle game earlier this month, which suggests the £65m summer signing will be fit enough to make his home debut this weekend.

Richarlison

Having featured off the bench against Leiciester and Everton, Richarlison was expected to start in the absence of Solanke against Newcastle. However, the Brazilian sat out the defeat due to an unspecified injury. "He'll probably miss the next few weeks," Postecoglou confirmed prior to the Newcastle game.

As such, Richarlison is unlikely to recover for Sunday, but should return to action before the end of the month.

Yves Bissouma

While Tottenham came through the international break relatively unscathed, there are concerns over Yves Bissouma ahead of Sunday. The midfielder sustained a knock in Mali's 1-0 AFCON qualifying win over Eswatini and was forced off midway through the second half. Bissouma has started Spurs' last two outings having sat out the opening weekend 1-1 draw with Leicester, but he will miss the North London Derby
