Cardiff 2-1 Brighton: Lewis Dunk (8.68 rating)
A late Sol Bamba goal secured all three points for Cardiff in a match they came from behind to win as Dale Stephens’ first half dismissal swung the game into the Bluebirds’ favour. Lewis Dunk had put Brighton ahead after just six minutes and, despite ending up on the losing side, deserved to leave the pitch with his head high. Huddersfield 1-1 West Ham: Lukasz Fabianski (7.70 rating)
Huddersfield scored just their second home league goal of the season in their 1-1 draw with West Ham, but it could have been an additional three points for the Terriers had it not been for the man of the match showing from Hammers number one Lukasz Fabianski. The Pole was called into action early on and made a total of seven saves for West Ham to guarantee a positive result in Huddersfield. His was a performance that earned him a WhoScored rating of 7.70 at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Newcastle 2-1 Bournemouth: Salomon Rondon (8.33 rating)
After a 1-0 win over Watford last week, Newcastle made it back-to-back victories to pull away from the danger zone. Salomon Rondon netted a first half brace to wrap up the three points at the expense of high-flying Bournemouth in a 2-1 win at St. James’ Park. The Venezuelan landed a WhoScored rating of 8.33 as the Magpies overcame the Cherries, with Rondon netting with two of his eight shots and winning eight aerial duels in a man of the match showing.

In Leicester’s first home match since the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of all five on board, including owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, it was always going to be an emotionally charged encounter at the King Power Stadium. While they couldn’t earn all three points in a 0-0 draw with Burnley, Wilfried Ndidi put in exactly the battling performance we have come to expect from the Nigerian. The young midfielder earned the WhoScored man of the match award as he won 10 aerial duels, made two tackles and three interceptions in a fine showing.
Southampton 1-1 Watford: Manolo Gabbiani (7.83 rating)
Southampton were denied a first home league win since April as Charlie Austin’s second half goal was deemed offside by the officials. Saints were ultimately pegged bag to draw 1-1 with Watford after Manolo Gabbiadini, making a rare start for Mark Hughes’ side, had put the home side ahead. The Italian scored with one of his for shots and worked hard off the ball to make two tackles and two interceptions. An additional key pass returned a WhoScored rating of 7.83 and the man of the match award.
Crystal Palace 0-1 Tottenham: Juan Foyth (7.93 rating)
On his second Premier League start of his career, Juan Foyth netted the winner in Tottenham’s hard fought 1-0 win at Crystal Palace. After conceding two penalties at Wolves, the Argentine youngster impressed at the heart of the defence as he made more passes (86) than any other player in the London derby. Five clearances and three interceptions helped return a WhoScored rating of 7.93 at Selhurst Park.
