Live transfer blog: January 2nd - Pulisic, Fabregas and Abraham on the move?
With the transfer window back open and deals already being completed, we take a look at the players on the move and those that are being linked with a switch this month in our live transfer blog.
Juventus confirm interest in Aaron Ramsey
Juventus have confirmed they are interested in signing Aaron Ramsey when his current Arsenal deal expires in the summer.
With six months left to run on his existing contract, Ramsey is now free to speak to foreign clubs about a Bosman transfer.
Bayern Munich have also been heavily linked with a move for Ramsey but now Juventus have confirmed their desire to sign the Wales international.
Despite dropping down the pecking order under Unai Emery this season, Ramsey has still scored two goals and provided six assists.
Crystal Palace pull out of Solanke deal
Crystal Palace have pulled out of a deal to sign Dominic Solanke on loan from Liverpool amid concerns about the striker's fitness.
Solanke hasn't played for Liverpool all season and missed the entire Christmas period through injury.
Palace want a new striker to hit the ground running and have doubts whether Solanke will be able to do that.
Fulham want Gary Cahill from Chelsea
Gary Cahill is allowed to leave Chelsea this month and Fulham are hopeful of landing the veteran centre-back.
Fulham have the worst defensive record in the Premier League this season (47) and Claudio Ranieri has made signing a new centre-back a top priority.
Cahill has entered the last six months of his current Chelsea deal and a loan spell away will effectively end his time at the club before being released at the end of the season.
PSG want Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld
Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld at the end of the season when he will only cost £25m.
Tottenham have extended Alderweireld's contract by 12 months but have triggered a £25m release clause that will be active in the summer until the final two weeks of the transfer window.
The 29-year-old is regarded as one of the best defenders in the Premier League and has also attracted interest from Manchester United in the last six months.
Alderweireld has completed the most accurate long balls in the Premier League this season (147).
Christian Pulisic signs for Chelsea
We’re only two days into the New Year and there has already been a big money move finalised, with Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic agreeing to sign for Chelsea.
The American will remain with the Bundesliga leaders for the rest of the season, however, despite the Blues striking a deal worth £57.6m for the 20-year-old.
Despite only starting five league matches this season, the youngster has completed more dribbles in the Bundesliga than any other player since August 2017 (96).

Cesc Fabregas set for Henry reunion at Monaco
Having been told that he can leave the London club this month, Chelsea are reportedly close to agreeing a deal that would see Cesc Fabregas sign for Ligue 1 strugglers Monaco (L’Equipe).
The Spaniard has been frozen out of the first team in the Premier League since the arrival of Jorginho and is keen to find regular first team football elsewhere.
The 31-year-old has impressed in his Europa League outings nonetheless, averaging 129 passes per 90 minutes, completing 91.7 per cent and registering two assists.
Wolves hoping to steal Abraham from Midlands rivals
Wolves are reportedly preparing a bid to Chelsea for Tammy Abraham this month, who has been in fantastic goalscoring form on loan at Aston Villa.
The 21-year-old striker took his league tally to 16 in just 20 appearances with a brace against QPR on New Years Day, with conflicting stories suggesting he has asked to return to Chelsea in order to seal a Premier League move.
Villa boss Dean Smith insists that the player is happy at the club, however, and that he would be extremely shocked if the youngster didn’t remain at Villa Park until the end of the season.
