Premier League trio chasing former Manchester City striker

Southampton, Crystal Palace and Cardiff are interested in signing Edin Dzeko after the Roma striker revealed a desire to return to the Premier League, claims The Daily Mirror.

Dzeko emerged as a surprise transfer target for Chelsea in January but the Premier League giants only managed to prise Emerson away from Roma.

The 32-year-old revealed during the international break that he would like to return to the Premier League despite acknowledging he is running out of time.

Southampton, Palace and Cardiff have all struggled in front of goal this season and are interested in the prospect of signing Dzeko.

However, it remains to be seen whether the Bosnia international would be willing to give up Champions Legaue football for battling relegation.

Dzeko scored 50 league goals in 130 Premier League appearances during a near five-year stint for City, but most of that time was spent as a substitute.

Since joining Roma in 2015, only three players have scored more Serie A goals than Dzeko (55).
