- Dundee manager Tony Docherty made one change from the Dee's Dundee derby defeat as they lost to United at Dens Park 2-1, before they responded with a wonderful 3-1 win over St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on Sunday.
- Trevor Carson remained in goal behind Ryan Astley, Clark Robertson and Luke Graham in the Dee defence. Finlay Robertson made way for Scott Tiffoney to start at left wing-back as Josh Mulligan continued at right wing-back.
- Mo Sylla and Lyall Cameron started in the middle of the park against Saints, just as they had on derby day. Oluwaseun Adewumi supported Seb Palmer-Houlden and Simon Murray in the Dee frontline.
- Rangers manager Philippe Clement named an unchanged Gers XI after an emphatic derby day display saw them beat Celtic 3-0 at Ibrox to kick off 2025 in style, before a six-goal thriller at Easter Road as they drew 3-3 with Hibernian.
- Liam Kelly was finally beaten in the Gers goal in Edinburgh. Jefte, Ridvan Yilmaz, Robin Propper and Dujon Sterling continued as an unorthodox back four with injuries continuing to pile up from a Rangers perspective.
- Mohamed Diomande and Nico Raskin continued in midfield, offering protection from an unusual backline. Ianis Hagi, Nedim Bajrami and Vaclav Cerny supported the hat-trick hero against Hibs, Hamza Igamane in attack.
