Team News

Kilmarnock
Dundee United
  • Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes made two changes after Killie were held at home by Hibs in a 1-1 draw, before they picked up a point in Paisley thanks to a 2-2 stalemate against St Mirren at the SMISA Stadium a fortnight ago.
  • Kieran O'Hara continued in goal behind a back four of Corrie Ndada, Stuart Findlay and Joe Wright - who was sent off against Saints - were joined in defence by Jack Burroughs, who replaced Lewis Mayo at right-back.
  • Matty Kennedy and Danny Armstrong continued on the flanks, with Liam Polworth and David Watson in the middle of the park. Kyle Vassell was joined by Marley Watkins, who took Bruce Anderson's place up front, who fired Killie in front in Paisley.
  • Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin named just one change to the Terrors team that lost to Rangers by a sole goal at Tannadice in their last league game, before crashing out of the Scottish League Cup by losing 2-1 to Motherwell at Fir Park.
  • Jack Walton continued in goal behind a back three of Ross Graham, Declan Gallagher and Emmanuel Adegboyega. Will Ferry and Luca Stephenson continued at left wing-back and right wing-back respectively.
  • Craig Sibbald was joined in the middle of the park by Ross Docherty as opposed to Kevin Holt. North Macedonian duo Kristijan Trapanovski and David Babunski supported lone striker Jort van der Sande in attack.

Prediction

  • Kilmarnock didn't have a fixture last weekend, after previously crashing out of the Scottish League Cup, but Dundee United took part in some Friday night football at Fir Park.
  • Kilmarnock are one of two Scottish Premiership teams yet to win a league match so far this season, with Killie and Hearts hoping to right the wrongs of the current campaign and ensure the wait for a win ends this weekend. Having conceded the most goals in the division so far this season, and being the tied lowest scorers in the league, it's easy to see where Kilmarnock's problems lie.
  • Dundee United tasted defeat for the first time this season, losing at home to Rangers in their last league match before being knocked out of the Scottish League Cup courtesy of defeat to Motherwell at Fir Park. It's been a solid start in their return back to the top tier for the Terrors, who will hope to stay in the top six for as long as they can regardless of how early on in the season.
  • Kilmarnock have won their last three matches against Dundee United in all competitions without conceding a goal, but the visitors will hope to bounce back and hold Killie at home here.
