Team News

Tottenham
Aston Villa
  • Micky van de Ven suffered a suspected hamstring strain on Wednesday night, with Radu Dragusin expected to deputise at the back.
  • Wilson Odobert is also absent, while Son Heung-Min and Djed Spence are expected to return.
  • Aston Villa have a clean bill of health for Sunday's game at Tottenham.

Prediction

  • Tottenham booked their place in the next round of the EFL Cup in midweek, beating Manchester City to make it six wins from seven at home this season.
  • Aston Villa were dumped out of the competition by Crystal Palace, and they have now won only two of their last five in all competitions.
  • Even without Micky van de Ven, Spurs will feel confident of another home victory on Sunday.

  • Well done WhoScored on your correct prediction!

  • Arguably Tottenham's best result of the season. Yet another comeback and now the league's top scorers with 22 for and a goal difference of +11 which is only bettered by Liverpool.

  • Bad day at the office for Dibu, to me he was quite responsible in all goals except in the last one, he was helpless nothing to do in fromnt of such high quality strike, However I trust him for next match of Champion League wherein he's still scoreless. I even thought he is more focused in the CL than in the EPL.

  • Typical Spurs against a good team. Passive on possession, half-chances, almost chances, very easy, avoidable goal conceded. The goal broke their rhythm and confidence, Aston Villa started having dangerous counter attacks after that. Kukusevski visible tired. Postecoglu will bring on Maddison and Bissouma soon, but nothing will change. Similar second half expected, Villa going to kill this match with a second goal.

  • @Khalq21 Boy you should really stop talking about football lmao

  • @vieri haha i got it wrong, but spurs have really been poor this season against decent teams, just look at their fixtures.

  • Tottenham are likely to score from a long or mid range shot whereas Villa are likely to score from a wing play situation and cross.

  • Tottenham 2-2 Aston Villa

  • Whoscored's prediction is 3-1 Tottenham? They have not beaten even a semi-decent team this for lomg time now, and Villa is a proper dodgy one. Its either going to be like 0-2 or chaotic 2-2. Spurs not going to win.

  • @Khalq21 lol state of you

  • @WilliePete i was expecting a better villa side, they were shadow of themselves.

  • @Khalq21 Tottenham did beat Villa away last season and are much better at home however I agree a draw is more likely than a win.

  • @MEHJones they only beaten crap United away and midtable teams at home. They are unable to beat anyone who can defend lowblock on an average level.

  • @Khalq21 They beat City on Wednesday without Son and with young Gray playing at right back.

  • First half GG

  • Tottneham will win

  • @Ortega_10 Well done.

  • Both to score

  • Draw or away win.

  • I'd imagine villa sit deep and attack in break. Worked last year.

  • goals here. bts+over

  • How about 2-2? These teams are very much even.

  • draw

  • Villa have won 5 of their 6 away matches this season.
