Patrik Schick is no nearer a return from a niggling groin problem, while Exequiel Palacios is struggling with a thigh injury, and Edmond Tapsoba has a muscle injury. Amine Adli was not able to train earlier in the week, while backup goalkeeper Andrey Lunev has a back injury.
- Eric Martel is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season. Timo Hübers is struggling with a shoulder injury, Florian Dietz suffered an ACL injury and will be missing for several months, while Mark Uth remains on the sidelines after a pelvic operation. Sebastian Andersson is nearing a return after knee surgery.
