Team News

Kasimpasa
Fatih Karagumruk
  • Tarkan Serbest, Derrick Luckassen and Julian Jeanvier, none of whom were expected to start against Karagumruk, are sidelined with injury.
  • Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater is also injured and will not make his debut just yet.
  • Aytac Kara will start in the number 10 role as Haris Hajradinovic is suspended, meaning Loret Sadiku is also likely to start in midfield.
  • Ervin Zukanovic is sidelined with a long-term injury.
  • Koray Altinay will continue to deputise for the injured Vegar Eggen Hedenstad.

Prediction

  • Kasimpasa were beaten 2-1 by Galatasaray last time out. Excessive snowfall throughout the day meant the pitch was covered in muddy slush, which was to Kasimpasa's advantage as their opponents favour playing a passing game. And yet, Capa was still unable to get anything out of the game, as Kasimpasa once again took a large number of long shots, which is their main attacking strategy. This is a team that gives away too many chances against sides that are competent in attacking from the wings. So, a very long 90 minutes await Kasimpasa.
  • Karagumruk were beaten 2-1 by Fenerbahce last time out. Theirs was quite a decent performance, especially going forward and they ended up creating more chances than their opponents, but once again Bayindir in Fenerbahce's goal had a magnificent performance. All the January arrivals have adapted to the Super Lig and Borini especially looks like he has returned to his mesmerising best on the left wing. He alone will create massive problems for Kasimpasa.
