Team News

Everton
Man City
  • Andros Townsend continues to be ruled out with a knee injury.
  • Seamus Coleman is out for the rest of the season.
  • Ruben Vinagre will be ruled out for a number of weeks with an injury, as will Dele Alli and Ben Godfrey.
  • Nathan Ake came off against Leeds with a hamstring injury and is a doubt.
  • Following a tight match against Real Madrid, in which Pep Guardiola made no subsitutions, we may see a handful of changes in this one.

Prediction

  • Everton come into this big game against Manchester City off the back of an astonishing 5-1 win over Brighton away from home. They will be full of confidence especially against a City side who had a tough matchup against Real Madrid on Tuesday night.
  • The Toffees will know the results of Leeds and Nottingham Forest before this one, with Leicester facing Liverpool on the Monday night, but whatever the results of the others, they know one thing is crucial; points on the board. Sean Dyche's know that if they better Leicester and Leeds' points tally, they will stay up. They sit a narrow two points above the dropzone, and any slip up could be taken advantage of.
  • The same is true of Manchester City, just at the other end of the table. Arsenal are a point behind having played a game more, and any Manchester City slip up will be pounced upon by the Gunners, who have looked to have turned a corner after four games without a win. City have won their last 10 league games, but after a tough Champions League first leg against Real Madrid, there could be a temptation to spring the changes for Pep Guardiola, despite it being a tough match given Everton's recent result.

  • Can anyone explain, how come Everton has 3 shots on target man???? It was 1 at best .

  • Where was 3 shots on target from Everton?? Are you kidding??! it’s 0 !!!!!!!

  • You have to be an idiot to bet Citeh games BTTS. They only win to nil

  • @Oversonly No, they do not.

  • Does Pep understand that he is allowed to make substitutions during a match???????

  • @AramisMick seems like he did?

  • Gundogan is on fire yet again.

  • Wtf. Pep crazy. Shoulda rested more players here.

  • @richccfc a horse like Haaland needs no more than 2 days of rest

  • @richccfc You're saying Everton away is an easy fixture?

  • @Sputnik I'm saying they got healthy cushion in league already and Real Madrid is 3 days away

  • Ederson, Walker, Dias, Laporte, Akanji, Rodrigo, Gundogan (C), Mahrez, Alvarez, Foden, Haaland

  • Why is Haaland missing from the whoscored Man City line up ? He STARTS the game.

  • @Marbella expekted lineup and the actual lineup, two different things...

  • @Socio4Life Why did the expected not list Haaland then ? Obvious to anyone he would start.

  • @Marbella They have changed it now to the right line up.

  • Not many goals,under 2.5

  • Everton to surprise city here.

  • @eastend1 by conceding less than 4 goals?

  • @eastend1 Right . I get that kind of feeling.

  • 3-2 city

  • City can and must rotate. Last year, in such a situation, I might have been worried. This year, in terms of the two matches- Everton followed by Real Madrid- Haaland makes the difference. 0.3 City.

  • @RichieRochdale Not even one, measly "like---?" My God, you're a tough audience! :(

  • draw or narrow away win in 98' Sean Dyche legend won't make it easy

  • 1-3 Man City

  • Man City are in a title race. If Newcastle took points of Arsenal then maybe he would play this team but no way is he going to rest all of KDB, Grealish, Haaland, Stones. Ironically you have predicted Real to play their best team this weekend, when in truth they will most likely rest their key players as Barca have the title all but secured.

  • MC have won their last 10 matches but both teams have scored in 7.
