Premier League clubs including Liverpool tracking Ajax sensation Ziyech
Ajax superstar Hakim Ziyech is now a transfer target for a number of the Premier League’s biggest clubs after dazzling during the club’s Champions League run to the semi-finals, reports The Daily Mirror.
Ziyech has been a consistent performer for Ajax since joining from Dutch rivals Twente in the summer of 2016 but has rarely ever been linked with a high profile move away.
Questions about the 26-year-old’s ability have been cast when Ajax have played in Europe but the Morocco international has answered those this season.
Ajax will face Tottenham in the last four of the Champions League later this month after eliminating Real Madrid and Juventus in successive rounds.
The Dutch giants have already agreed to sell Frenkie De Jong to Barcelona at the end of the season and captain Matthijs de Ligt is also expected to sign for the Blaugrana.
De Jong and De Ligt are not the only Ajax players to attract Europe’s biggest clubs this season and now the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United are interested in Ziyech.
Ziyech has a contract with Ajax that expires in 2021 but is reportedly available to leave for just £25m, which represents a bargain in today’s climate.
Ziyech has played a direct hand in 69 goals in 88 league matches for Ajax and has this season registered double figures for goals (15) and assists (12).
