City interested in Roma wonderkid

Manchester City have made an enquiry about Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes, according to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side are expected to have to pay a premium price to capture the highly rated central midfielder, with Roma reluctant to part ways with the Argentine.

Paredes, 21, is currently on a loan at Empoli but has been factored into Roma’s plans for next season. Despite being relatively inexperienced, he already appears to have the qualities to become the perfect midfielder, as illustrated by his statistically calculated strengths.

He may have to work on his discipline in the future, however. In fact, he has picked up all of his six league bookings in his last 10 matches. Additionally, only two teammates – both defenders – average more passes per game than Parades (51.3).
