Chelsea team news: Blues youngsters set to make rare starts against Huddersfield
As he aims to get a response from his players after a dismal second half showing at Bournemouth in midweek Maurizio Sarri is tipped to make changes to his starting XI against Huddersfield.
The Mirror claim that Gonzalo Higuain will keep his place to make his first league start at Stamford Bridge despite looking somewhat rusty at the Vitality Stadium. The Argentine failed to have a single shot before he was substituted on 65 minutes but is tipped to keep his place ahead of Olivier Giroud.
Elsewhere Andreas Christensen is reportedly in line to make only his second Premier League appearance of the season at the back, with Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz both at risk, while there is likely to be a rare start for another Chelsea youngster.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek is set to emulate Christensen in making only his second league start of the season as Sarri continues to seek the right balance in his midfield trio alongside mainstays Jorginho and N’Golo Kante.
The 23-year-old has had a few injury problems this season but has been available for much of the season and would have liked to have seen more minutes in the league having netted an impressive six goals in all competitions despite said limited game time.
Fellow academy graduate Callum Hudson-Odoi may well return to the matchday squad but is set to be made to wait once more for his first league start.
