Haaland should stay at Borussia Dortmund, claims Bundesliga hotshot
Erling Haaland should reject advances from Manchester United and Real Madrid and instead stay at Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski has stated.
Haaland joined Dortmund in January, with the Bundesliga side beating off competition from across the continent for the young striker.
The Norwegian has made an immediate impact for Dortmund, netting nine goals in eight league appearances to help keep his side in the race for the Bundesliga title.
His performances have again seen him linked with a move to United and Real Madrid, among other European powerhouses.
However, Lewandowski, who left Dortmund for Bayern Munich in 2014, believes the 19-year-old should reject the advances of any European giant and that he is better off remaining with the Bundesliga title contenders.
"He has huge potential, but still has time. I don’t want to put any pressure on him with my statements," Lewandowski is quoted as saying by The Metro.
"If he works hard, he can become a better player and eventually reach the top level.
"Therefore, it might be good for him if he would stay in the Bundesliga longer before taking the next step."
Lewandowski has been in rampant form for Bayern Munich this season, netting 25 times in 23 league appearances.
