- Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin handed Scottish Premiership debuts to three summer signings, as his new-look Dons team kicked off the league campaign with three points thanks to a 2-1 win at McDiarmid Park against St Johnstone.
- Dimitar Mitov started between the sticks against his former club last Monday night. Gavin Molloy, who turned through his own net late on, partnered Slobodan Rubezic at the back. Nicky Devlin, who gave the Dons the lead, started at right-back with Jack MacKenzie at left-back.
- Club captain Graeme Shinnie and new signing Sivert Helthe Nilsen protected the new-look back four. Jamie McGrath - who sealed the deal against Saints - and Shayden Morris supported Ester Sokler and Bojan Miovski, who appears to be close to leaving the club, in attack.
- St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson made three changes from Saints' superb start to the Scottish Premiership season as the Buddies blew Hibs away 3-0 in Paisley, before a late leveller saw them draw 1-1 with Norwegian outfit Brann.
- An unchanged back three of Richard Taylor, Alex Gogic and Marcus Fraser continued in Paisley on Thursday night. Shaun Rooney remained at right wing-back, with Jaden Brown taking Scott Tanser's place on the left hand side.
- Dennis Adeniran made way in midfield as Oisin Smyth - who bagged a brace off the bench against the Hibees - started alongside Caolan Boyd-Munce and Roland Idowu in midfield. Toyosi Olusanya, who bagged the Buddies' equaliser against Brann, made way for Mikael Mandron up front.
