Prediction

  • Villarreal dropped to ninth in the La Liga standings following a 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad in their last game. It leaves them winless in their last four games, but they did beat Austria Vienna during the week in the Europa Conference League.
  • Chimy Avila missed a penalty in Osasuna’s 2-1 defeat to Valencia. They also ended the game with nine men after straight red cards being shown to Unai Garcia and Ruben Pena. Darko Brasanac scored the only goal for Osasuna in the loss.
  • The last three meetings between the two sides have all been won by Osasuna. Avila scored the only goal in the last matchup back in March.

  • Penalty to Villarreal isn't a crazy shout, 1-0 home aide, Osasuna have to be more disciplined at the back, too many cards, they should have lost at Madrid and Getafe/Valencia did exactly what they wanted frustrating the Osasuna players into Red Cards.
